United Nations condemns (some) blasphemy
The United Nations Human Rights Council has passed a resolution by a vote of 21-10 condemning the defamation of religion. France, Germany, Britain and Canada inexplicably opposed the resolution; one which not only would find favour with Canada's various human rights commissions but will, I am certain, ensure the free expression of religion and outlawing of religious intolerance in "Saudi" Arabia. Unless, of course, by "religion" they only mean "Islam" in which case not so much.
Strangely enough, the resolution does not condemn suicide bombers, hostage takers and snuff film manufacturers for their vigorous attempts to identify Islam with terrorism, violence and human rights violations. But there are the Mo-toons to consider so, you know, priorities.
Related: Somebody did not get the memo at Iran's Press TV. They describe the resolution as "UN HRC condemns Islam's defamation". Accurately, in other words.
Update: That did not take long.
