The whip hand

Prominent campaigners, politicians and scientists - none of whom have been asked about the false science underpinning their masturbatory apocalyptic fantasies - have called for Canada to be suspended from the Commonwealth.

The coalition claims Canada is contributing to droughts, floods and sea level rises in Commonwealth countries such as Bangladesh, the Maldives and Mozambique. Clare Short, the former international development secretary, said: "Countries that fail to help [tackle global warming] should be suspended from membership, as are those that breach human rights."

Currently suspended from the Commonwealth: Fiji following a coup and Nauru due to non-payment of dues (whatever they might be). Also, Zimbabwe due to the place being run by pricks.

Not currently suspended from the Commonwealth: Uganda, set to sanction the judicial murder of gay men. Also, Commonwealth meeting host Trinidad and Tobago whose Prime Minister kicked off events by saying human rights are a domestic issue that "need not detain" the grandees.

If you throw out the nations that produce ( effect the climate ) then there won't be much wealth in the Commonwealth.
