Jim Fletcher reviews Joel Richardson's The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast. Enthusiastically. At last, Christian and Islamic eschatology can come together in one grand shebang.

By going to Islamic source documents, such as the Hadith, Richardson does important original research. And with Iran's mullahs now openly enthusiastic for the return of the "Twelfth Imam," their last-days messiah, Richardson's book is all the more timely for Christians.

Because what the world needs is a Christian Twelver movement.

Reminder: Twelvers believe Barack Obama is the promised warrior here to help the Hidden Imam conquer the world. They may be not wrong.

Back in '91 I remember poring over a slew of books that claimed in all seriousness that Saddam was the Anti-Christ. Obama's basic credentials are certainly looking a little better. No question on the Islamic angle though. With or without Obama there is a weird synchronicity to the apocalyptic prophecies of both religions.
