From a lost age of video-making. (I think the same guy did a few of the videos for Making Movies songs.

I recall reading one guy say he'd have sold his soul to have written the songs on that album, prob my fave.

I have heard from younger people several times now that they find '80s videos fascinating; a kind of golden age. I think the big difference is that early attempts to figure out the form tended to have a storytelling/narrative structure instead of relying on jump cuts and so forth. A lot of the time this would mean something pretty weak - a whole video hung off a chance lyrical reference - but then there are videos like this which are basically short films.

Love love love the song and the album. Can't say I love the video outside a sort of academic interest in 80s history. Maybe it brings back bad memories!
