Grayson

Grayson.jpg

Grayson has the first cool Robin uniform I have ever seen. Admittedly, it is always difficult not to look lame when you are standing next to the Batman.

Gotham's Son Returns! Two decades after the golden age of superheroes has passed, hope has abandoned Gotham City. Corruption has infected Gotham's highest levels of power and led to the death of its greatest champion. Now, former boy wonder, Dick Grayson, will emerge from the shadows of retirement to avenge the murder of his legendary mentor.

This is a big download but it is a beautiful job so well worth it. So, how come it takes a fan film for me to see the first convincing screen Superman ever? Studio people: give John Fiorella money to make this film. You will have insane fan loyalty backing it up. "Stay out of this, Clark!" Yep, I admit it. Superman kicks ass.

I have always loathed Robin and was pleased to see him killed off. He distracts from the darkness and angst of Batman.

This film might change your mind.

The trailer is the only film, right?

There is also a "making of the trailer" film that is considerably longer than the trailer itself. But no film yet. The trailer is Fiorella's way of attracting interest to the project.

I saw bits of this at the San Diego Comic-Con (playing in various booths), and was much impressed. A definite case of a fan having a better feel for the characters than the studios ...

Wow that preview looks exceedingly lame. Unless, of course, they are trying to make a comedy.

Okay, having now seen it in more controlled circumstances ...

Well, hell, scenery-chewing and hokey accents and dubious fx aside, it's *still* a lot more exciting than 7/8 of the comics adaptations whose scripts I read.

Dave point well taken. I am sure it will be better than Judge Dredd for instance.

I was impressed not only by the clip, but by the dedication of John F. To spend 18 months to put this together and have such a passion for your craft makes me want to look at projects that I have neglected to move forward.

Oh yeah, I could watch that Superman for a whole movie too!
