Peter Zeihan - The World You Know (2014 Annual Northern Soybean Expo)

I enjoy grand strategy narratives and this one is good fun; he gets to Canada at about the 40 minute mark. Having apparently missed Thunder Bay, and its access to the Saint Lawrence seaway, I'm not convinced by his engagement with Canadian political-geography.

And as to the Saint Lawrence, it isn't our only river. The Mackenzie has the second-largest drainage in North America after the Mississippi, reaching into five Canadian provinces and territories. While I can't tell you how much of this is navigable, a great deal more of it may become rather more useful for three-hundred years or so if we do experience the cyclical warming enjoyed by the Vikings and the Roman Republic.
