"Sandalwood grows naturally across much of the southern half of Western Australia, and is in big demand in Asia where it's used to make incense sticks or essential oils.
"It's a highly lucrative business, fetching up to $15,000 a tonne in a harvest system controlled by the state government. But there's also a dark side to the industry - a growing black market for illegally harvested sandalwood."
