Epice Marine, the new fragrance from Hermès
"It is a hazy morning on a typically blue-grey day in Brittany, and inside La Maison du Voyageur, an 18th-century merchant spice house on the Cancale coast, a group of beauty journalists are looking puzzled. A low wooden table is set with a decanter of whisky, a glass jar filled with seaweed, a bowl of peppercorns and a flacon of unidentifiable brown liquid.
"Standing over it are Jean-Claude Ellena, the in-house perfumer of Hermès, and Olivier Roellinger, the Breton chef."
