Ah, the Wooden Wonder. Bloody marvelous to see! My dad remembered watching a demo of the Mosquito at Downsview airport during WWII, where some of the planes were made. It was some kind of war bond drive, and the pilots flew the planes under telephone wires.
It was a shock to drive past Downsview recently and see that they'd torn down the old WWII-era hangars to make room for ... what? I mean, it's not like there's a shortage of space up there.
And George Lucas turned out to be the Led Zeppelin of film makers -- not one single original idea in his head.
