Hitchens is a godless atheist, not a heretic.

I have too many atheist friends to come out and openly advocate that atheists be sent to the cleansing fire; this would negatively impact my Christmas entertainments (atheists are good cooks, and run rather successful food blogs). So, mis-labeling this cloaked leftist as a 'heretic' works for me.

Being cleansed with fire, innocent of the charge, but guilty of others, works in all cases.
