L’islam et le nazisme
"On June 5, at a demonstration in Istanbul by the Islamic Saadet Party, one of the banners is written in Turkish. Muslims no longer hide their brotherhood with the Nazis."
"Hitler's legendary leader, our patience is exhausted, we need your spirit."
They might as well have flown their banner alongside Hezbollah's in downtown Toronto. Once again, Canada's Left marches with the Nazis against the Jews.
Brothers: The alliance between the hard Left and Islam may appear unlikely at first.
[N]either can tolerate a freedom culture: if individuals are free, Leftists and Islamists must fail. As I demonstrate in the book, Rousseau, who is the father of all modern radical movements and despised the notion of individual liberty, was an admirer of Islam – especially its holding that the spiritual and secular realms are indivisible. And when one compares Rousseau’s thought with that of Qutb (who, along with Banna, is the most important Brotherhood thinker), the similarities are startling.
Ottoman related: Victor Davis Hanson.
Right now Turkey is weighing the downside of its new posture (American mumbling about its new Ottomanism) against the upside (adulation in the Muslim world), while factoring in the new Obama neutralism, Western financial depression and debt, Iranian and Syrian nuclear ambitions, and our exposure in Afghnanistan and Iraq. So far, it has concluded that it is better to be neutral toward, or an adversary of, America rather than its NATO ally. Again, that is an empirical, not an ideological, assessment, however disturbing its consequences are, and we should start to craft a bipartisan foreign policy in the region accordingly.
Turkey does have to distance itself from the West, only from that part of the West not currently allied with nihilism.
