Michael Coren on the Ottawa machete attack

Via Blazing Cat Fur.

Update: Mark Steyn cites Ezra Levant.

Ezra is right: A machete isn't "an argument". Islamic thugs want to save themselves the trouble of having an argument - by either killing you, or threatening to kill you to the point where certain subjects are no longer raised. They too understand "the impact of words", and they're in full agreement with the censorship junkies of the CJC that ordinary Canadians should use less of them, at least when it comes to matters of particular interest to Islam.

Kathy Shaidle on the CJC working behind the scenes.

If faced with an Arabic speaking individual showing off his machete, do I get the Catholic Human Rights League to "help" me talk to the cops?

Hell, do I even talk to the cops at this point? No doubt I'll be just be told, in a bored, weary voice, that they "can't guarantee my safety." If the Ottawa constabulary can't be bothered to "guarantee the safety" of a 6' tall, 120 pound blonde American with a high public profile and a couple of ex-/future Presidents in her Rolodex, then I'm obliged to assume that I am well and truly ****ed.

Oh, and to the young (Jewish) blogger who recently "asked" me angrily, "What does anybody need a gun for?" -- do you get it now?

Do you get one now?

And Fenris Badwulf learns by example.

Following the example of the activist who was raising awareness of Israeli apartheid (which is never anti-Semitism), I went after him with a machete.
