Told you so

Assuming it is the work of English domestic terrorists and not intra-sectarian violence, the burning of a Dudley mosque is a grim harbinger. My only surprise is it has taken ten years for the great unwashed to stop trusting their future to an anti-Semitic Establishment, an Army with no bullets and a Navy without permission to fire them or worst of all an emasculated police force bent on creating injustice rather than righting injustice.

Where there is no law there is the mob.

Ten fire crews were called to Cradley Heath Mosque and Islamic Centre in Plant Street, Cradley Heathe, near Dudley in the West Midlands, on Boxing Day. But they could not save the mosque building, which was completely destroyed in the attack. It is the second time the hall has been targeted in recent years.

Expect more and expect worse until Her Majesty's government remembers its duty not least of which is to hang arsonists and anarchists by the neck until dead. An ASBO in defense of liberty is too nice.

Human nature being what it is, what on earth makes anyone think this will stop with burned mosques? Where there is no serious disincentive to political violence - where political violence is celebrated as an expression of "community solidarity" - even the left cannot be surprised if the white working class finally decides to join the fray.

Allow me to offer a hasty, perhaps stereotyped, generalization about the English working classes for anyone who has yet to enjoy their company: The English working class lacks the subtlety of the debating partners most progressives have encountered to date and, high on a sense of entitlement and grievance fostered by the same leftists over these last sixty years, the white working class is entirely unmoved by the ad hominem accusations of racism so feared by polite society.

While we are on the subject: Spare a moment in your prayers for Alhaji Umar Mutallab, a Muslim who reported his own son to the authorities that the lives of strangers might be spared. Events suggest he did so at the risk of his own life and despite the faint hope anyone in authority would heed his warning in the slightest.
