There's no retirement for an artist, it's your way of living so there's no end to it

Two of four jihadi leaders directing al Qaeda's attempt to incinerate NWA 253 over Detroit were released from Guantanamo in November, 2007 (via AoSHQ).

American officials agreed to send the two terrorists from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an "art therapy rehabilitation program" and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials.

The soft headed are going to get us all killed. I cannot help but believe, subconsciously, this is their deepest wish. In this case, the soft headed include the well meaning men of the Bush administration - not least of all President Bush himself - who allowed these war criminals to go free.

Clinical legalism: Not to worry, President Obama is on the case. We need not fear for the civil rights of jihadi war criminals; if we rushed to judgement, presumably the "terrorists" would already have won.

If an army of enemy soldiers attacked American troops in a combat theater, we wouldn't say "We know that the Germans allegedy attacked our forces in Holland." But when a terrorist aligned with an avowed US enemy attacks on a civilian plane, the criminal law-enforcement paradigm requires we give this guy the benefit of the doubt.
