A Muslim woman.

The country's most powerful Muslim woman was pelted with eggs by a group of young Islamists yesterday.

A criminal gang assaulting a Member of Parliament on the high street should have very rapidly become a criminal gang cooling to the ambient temperature of the high street. Common sense these days prefers wishful thinking and amok time to my direct problem solving and yet I am the crazy one.

"The Baroness attempt to reason" with these thugs, indeed. The spectre of Theo van Gogh yet haunts another high street, still pleading reason with the man about to hack at his neck and stab a note to his chest.

These assholes are going to get us all killed.

Unless: Gerald Warner argues the Swiss minaret ban is an indication of an international peasants' revolt against our nihilist elites.

There is a backlash on the way: at present it is showing itself in small ways, over minor matters such as minarets, but presently it will manifest itself on more substantial issues such as immigration and bogus climate change. It is no coincidence that the people most loudly bemoaning the ban on minarets in Switzerland are those who most vociferously applauded the prohibition on crucifixes in Italian classrooms. The consistent principle is an attack on European Christian civilisation, complemented by subservience to all the enemies of that civilisation, secular or Islamic.
