German, early 19th century

The winds of memory (?) waft me back to 1998, a year I was in London and would have had no difficulty borrowing £12,000 for Young Girl in Profile in Renaissance Dress.
Now a growing number of leading art experts agree that it is almost certainly by Leonardo da Vinci and could be worth about £100 million.
I am sorry to say "Kill Hitler as a baby" has lost pole position in my hypothetical time travel itinerary with "Step on prehistoric butterfly" falling to third place.
Update: Mr. Ash via email. Touché!
And besides, everyone kills Hitler on their first trip:

So, here's my screenplay:
A Chris Farley type, not a Tom Cruise type, goes back in time to assasinate a man whom the Elite agree will be responsible for all the bad that is going to occur in the future.
At every turn, our hero finds different ways to fail. Think Peter Sellers. Prat falls, and the like. After 13 attempts, our hero follows target and finds out that the man is actually his father and that his mother was easy. (Slut.)
So, if you travel back in time, could you kill your own father?
