Scotland celebrates Ramadan
The following is even more difficult to watch.
When your elites have no honour, there is little purpose in shame. Better to change the manner in which you are governed and the sooner the better. In his supposed compassion, Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill is motivated by the same evil as the man he has sent home as a hero. His decision was illegitimate. The government he represents is illegitimate.
Abdel Baset al-Megrahi is the only person ever convicted of the 1988 Pan Am 103 Lockerbie bombing. He is responsible for the murder of 270 people. Exit rhetorical question: In what universe would Barack Obama care about something so trifling as the release of a jihadi for Ramadan.
In related news, it's all about oil: The British Establishment, distancing itself from the Scottish fascist party vision of justice, is set to cash in on their evil decision.
But banks, chemical and tobacco groups are also keen to capitalise on growing business opportunities in the north African country after a long period when it was largely shut off because of western trade sanctions. Britain imported nearly £1bn of petroleum and other products in 2008 from Libya, 66% more than in 2007, and the export of "visible" goods from Britain rose by nearly 50% in the first half of the year, government figures show.
Business analysts in the City, who asked not to be named, said the Libyan business environment was "highly politicised" and the release of the Lockerbie bomber could only help to oil the wheels of British commerce there.
