As it ended with Hera as Mitochondrial Eve, it made me think: well, doesn't that mean Sharon is ME?
Anyway, her role as Most Recent Common Matrilineal Ancestor (not most recent common ancestor - this person lived much more recently and will always be untraceable) is a 'present day' affair: in the recent past she was not the MRCMA (I think that may just be my own acronym) and she will cease to be in the near future.
Still, good genes.
I take it the non-Africa-based colonials didn't fare too well in the end.
