Canada bans George Galloway

The Canadian government has a duty to protect Canadian citizens from terrorists and their supporters. The Canadian government is, for once, doing its job (via Hot Air).

Mr Velshi said: ‘We’re going to uphold the law, not give special treatment to this infandous street-corner Cromwell who actually brags about giving ‘financial support’ to Hamas, a terrorist organisation banned in Canada.

‘I’m sure Galloway has a large Rolodex of friends in regimes elsewhere in the world willing to roll out the red carpet for him. Canada, however, won’t be one of them.’

Galloway is a hero to traitors, cowards and the enemy. Let us hope the government has turned over a new leaf and decided to enforce the law. I can think of at least one Canadian who has - in violation of the law - provided financial support for a named individual on the United Nations al Qaeda/Taliban watch list. Until now, he and his ilk have been given a pass. Let Galloway be an omen of change.

Time to stop giving a pass to Nazis and their allies: Any "progressives" set to protest this decision either do not know or do not care that the last time George Galloway was in Canada it was to meet with Syria's Nazi party, the same lovable scamps celebrated for assaulting Christopher Hitchens.

One thing there wasn't room for was an especially vivid illustration of the convergence of the far left and the far right that's going on here: "Anti-war" hero George Galloway visited Ottawa last year for the specific purpose of attending a Canadian celebration of the 74th birthday of Syria’s fascist movement. The Syrian Social Nationalist Party sports its own stylized swastika, sings its anthem to the tune of Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles, and dreams of a greater Syria from the Nile to the Euphrates.

Not that any of this overt support for Nazism will stop "progressive" bloggers from describing their opponents as Nazis. We were warned that fascists would return describing themselves as anti-fascists.

Someone has to tell us how it is. News is canned and suppressed these days. The propaganda in prevalent in every news cast. Comment about Afghanistan and Israel is muzzled all the time.
It seems Israel can commit war crimes and genocide in Gaza and gets the full support of Canada, the US, Australia and Britain.
The rest of the world are very upset over Israelis atrocities.

I am going to assume the above two comments were left by an agent of Canada's federal Human Rights Commission. I have banned them from pursuing further comments but I am allowing these to stand as an example of what genuine anti-racists and anti-Nazis have to deal with.

Flea, i'm surprised at you. The term "Nazi" only applies to oppressive right-wingers that challenge our progressive march towards freedom from responsibility.
