The other side of the mirror

Yes, yes, Watchmen and all that. I have nothing to say until I have seen the film. In the meantime, news Dark City director Alex Proyas is writing a screen an adaptation of Robert Heinlein classic The Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan Hoag.

"There's just something incredibly creepy about it," Proyas said. "Look, I think the whole concept in the story is this parallel universe that exists on the other side of a mirror. I think that's really quite fascinating. I know there have been quite a few stories done about that and a lot of films done with that concept, but it's something that I'm really excited to explore, just this universe that exists in the looking glass."

I would be just as happy if he makes The Tripods.

Ok, a link: Ozymandias feels contempt for your genitals.

Also: This cannot be good for Alan Moore's digestion.

I've been waiting forever for someone to do something with The Tripods. The BBC telecom series was a pretty good adaptation, but there's so much more to do with it, especially if they actually finish it.

Just saw it. No spoilers, but speaking for myself I found *solace* in the cartoon.

Bizarrely, Proyas is also still set to direct Dracula: Year Zero.

And, Knowing will also be out soon, but since it stars Nicholas Cage, I'm probably not gonna get my hopes up for that one.
