Plaudite cives!

France Appreciation Week @ The Flea continues: Asterix, obviously.

Let's see. So far, a poem written in 1948 and a comic strip created in 1959.

You damn our froggy friends with faint praise.

I'm also beginning to see a trend here. Nothing good has come out of La Belle France in at least 50 years.

I'd include Carla Bruni-Sarkozy,and the Légion étrangère, but then neither of them are French, are they?

A France Appreciation Week film clip from Extrafilm Produktion Gmb.H. Berlin? Have you no shame, sir?

I have a feeling you all may be on to me. Or rather, I can see how you might doubt my intentions. Ahem. Though I expect your scepticism will be mollified by tomorrow's tribute.
