God help us

CBC Radio is now projecting a Conservative minority government. Hooray! Money well spent, I say. Congratulations everyone for wasting our time yet again and especially to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Her Majesty's time waster in chief. One bit of good news: Having refused to hand the Conservatives a majority, we can look forward to another two or three years of federal government not entirely beholden to the province of Quebec.
A special shout out to Michael Ignatieff, tonight the happiest man in Canada.
Update: Another thought... no Greens elected. Evidently it will take more than two generations of lies about "the environment" to convince Canadians to entrust the Green party with a seat. Good. After this election, I consider them to be Canada's postmodern equivalent of the Nazi party; riddled with Truthers, defeatists, anti-Semites, Luddites, fantasists, health nuts, economic illiterates and people who are somehow proud to value the landscape over human life. When cornered, the party would disavow Truther or anti-Semite candidates yet somehow these people felt at home in the party in the first place. Barring the due diligence of the blogosphere -- and hard evidence -- the party would not have ferreted out their Truther and anti-Semite views as a matter of course; I believe those views would have stuck out to me in a casual conversation.

What? You mean this isn't a caption contest?
Nuts.

It really should be a caption contest...

Damn. All I can think of are captions that involve juxtaposing 'Harper' with 'pussy,' and I'm not sure Master Flea wants this comments thread to go there, what with the mixed company around here...

All is not lost...Sheltered Workshop Lawyer Jason Cherniak has stopped blogging and this time he really means it. The collective IQ of the Canadian blogosphere popped 5 points on the announcement - if he really means it.
