The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older

The CW 90210 may be an "edgy, contemporary spin-off" of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 but for all its juiced up cars and houses the next generation pales in comparison with the lovely Jennie Garth, still at school after all these years. I know the feeling.

According to CBS Paramount, which produces the series for the CW network, "Garth will make special guest appearances as her original character, Kelly Taylor, a guidance counselor at her alma mater, West Bev High, where our new characters attend high school."

In an industry where divas with 'tudes so often bite the hands that fed/feed them, it's just plain nice to see that Jennie is still down with the franchise that made her famous.

I could not agree more. But not everyone is happy with the next generation, Anna Chan dismiing the premier as "overexaggerated trash". Not a bug, Anna; a feature. Though Michael Idato is correct to point out once Jennie Garth, Shannon Doherty and Tori Spelling have had their walk-ons the new show will have to earn its audience on its own; some of us have to get up early. Besides, the real nostalgia lives at the Peach Pit.

So... when do I get my Fame reboot?

Revisiting Fame would indeed be most excellent, but what about us Greatest American Hero fans? In fact, what about just doing a blanket remake of every show with a Mike Post theme song?
