In Annexia ego

My neighbourhood includes Bloor Street United Church. Though Trinity-St. Paul's United Church - with its Marxist bookstore in the back - is handier to Flea Towers, I had not realized my neighbourhood offered such an abundance of Truther and "social justice" publications. Take this pamphlet, for example.

Among the literature that visitors were urged to take was a newspaper with content smacking of antisemitism, for example, “it’s a fact” that “Zionists [are] controlling the media,” “Zionists in Canada don’t care about Canada’s sovereignty and are willing to join the US, where they control Bush,” “Zionists attack our advertiser [not named]… threats by Toronto Zionists who attack the messenger rather than improve themselves and their nazi [sic] ways,” and “Rothschild owned big pharma killers.”

I would light up the human rights telephone tree but so far as the CJC is concerned words are only dangerous in the mouths of Canada's twenty-five skinheads; leftists and Muslims get a free pass on the Rothschild references and the controlling of the media. And Godwin's Law, apparently.
