CHRC evidence tampering of transcripts: Breaking!


Free Dominion reports Canadian Human Rights Commission transcript irregularities.

The Canadian Human Rights Commission was in full damage recovery mode after the spying network of the CHRC was exposed and reported on heavily in the national media. As part of the damage control the CHRC was doing, they contracted a company to transcribe the March 25, 2008 Digital Recording into a transcript. And in a strange Public Relations campaign they distributed copies of the transcript to the media.

A transcript that is missing a crucial, damning piece of testimony. A transcript issued after having denied a transcript existed, after having dismissed the court reporter for a hearing calling into question the activities of the CHRC itself. As Halls of Macadamia puts it: It ain't the scandal that usually kills you... it's the cover-up.

We keep saying they should all be fired. Not good enough. There should be criminal prosecutions and criminal convictions before we are done.

Canadians are the best neighbors anyone could wish for. This American cousin deplores the current state of freedom in Canada. I pray your people will find the moxie to push back.

A comment on the Globe and Mail website suggested filing a complaint with the HRC about the "hate speech" of the Steyn complainant, Dr. Elasmry, on the web site of the Canadian Islamic Congress; apparently it is pretty gross. If enough actions of this type were brought to the HRC's, it would at least generate some helpful publicity.

Dear Ghost,

You folks should amend the Constitution of Canada as follows:

"Parliament shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

And also:

"No Province shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of Canada; nor shall any Province deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Adapting our amendments 2 through 10 wouldn't hurt y'all either.

Retrofitted versions of our Amendments would simply not pass in Canada for the same reasons they wouldn't pass in the UK. In particular, the 1st A's prohibition on Establishment is a non-starter since it would necessarily dissolve the Churches of England, Scotland, and Ireland.

Other than that, there's also the problem of common law jurisprudence already on the books. One can include amendments, but the interpretation of same are guided by previous law. Canadians need to fight and win their current battle before mucking about with stronger guarantees.

Odd isn't it, this CHRC transcript was the one they were shopping around to reporters in their spin control efforts to counter, among other allegations, the hijacking of a citizens internet account by CHRC staff.

Seems a tad much to believe that that the most damaging of transcript evidence in the hijacking matter was "accidentally left out.

Is this what passes for PR at the CHRC? Next stop Nuremberg defense;)
