Welcome, Jadewarr

Dextrosphere: 1 :: Crucible: 0. Ezra Levant reports SoCon Or Bust claim to have identified an instance of Richard Warman misleading the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal about "Jadewarr", under oath (via Five Feet of Fury).

MR. FROMM: Can you explain what that is, “Welcome, Jadewarr?

MR. WARMAN: It appears to be a name that was logged in under.

MR. FROMM: By whom?

MR. WARMAN: I’m sorry, I don’t know.

Funny how the tribunal dismissed its court reporter at last month's "human rights" sham. Listen up everyone: You may think you are free. You are not. You are only as free as the rights you fight for, as how vigilant you stand guard for liberty.

Update: Mark Steyn comments (also via Five Feet of Fury):

"The integrity of evidence is critical. Yet Judge Hadjis lets the prosecution swap evidence in mid-testimony -- and furthermore it's the supposed 'witness' and 'plaintiff' who 'suggests' which version is the 'appropriate' one.

"Mr Warman was not ignorant of 'Jadewarr'. He was in on the secret -- part of the cosy conflict of interest between the CHRC and its former employee. The Pieman is, by his own admission, a Stormfront member and hate-message poster with a track record of incorrect and misleading testimony under oath. Hard to see quite what he's suing over.

"As for the CHRC, the systemic corruption only confirms the need for a full-scale Royal Commission. Jennifer Lynch, QC, the head honcho of the racket, wrote a characteristically pompous argument-from-authority in last week's Maclean's. But that won't do anymore - not when her own "investigators" are the subject of Privacy Commission investigations and criminal complaints."

If my seven year old came up with something this lame I'd woodshed the kid. But, hey, if my four year old said it it would be adorable.

Judicial inquiry right now.

Too bad Harper hasn't the balls to order one.

What is staggering to me is that Mr. Harper appears to have calculated that opposing this sort of thing is a potential election loser; presumably because Canadians are so brainwashed they will support any abuse with the words "human rights" attached.

Worse yet, he may be right.

Flea, that comment is right on the money.

Some fights you fight because you can win them, and some you back down on because they can't be won.

And then there are some that you fight because they just plain need fighting.

I think those who say Harper is a master strategist are off the mark. He seems to be a master tactician. But strategy needs to be guided by a greater vision, and the tactical moves need to work towards that vision in order to have any real meaning.

Things like this make me wonder if conservatism (small c) in this country is winning battles and losing the war.
