Let them eat cake

Classical Values's gracious post on Canada's troubles with freedom of speech included the following comment by cubanbob. I do not know where the blogs under siege are hosted but as the Flea is hosted on an American server it is of particular interest to me and any future counter-claim plans.
It will cost some money, getting Canadian and American attorneys to structure it (the sting) correctly but it should be doable.
Perhaps Jay Currie might offer his expertise on the subject. Not that I have had any problems since a particularly sad individual decided to have a go at getting me fired.* That said, any further thoughts on potential status as a subject of political discrimination seeking refuge in the United States would be most appreciated; I am certain I could annoy some interest sufficiently to be denounced for my political views, incoherent as they may be.
In the meantime, please give some thought to Michelle Malkin's fund raiser post for the legal defense of Five Feet of Fury, Small Dead Animals, Free Dominion and Ezra Levant.
* In case anyone has forgotten, someone who posted an image of woman suckling a dog at her blog found my picture of Scarlett Johansson sufficiently offensive to suggest I was unfit to teach young women. Only in Canada, eh.
Update: Speaking of cake, tomorrow is Operation Reconnect. I am now looking at a massive, animated full tower Scientology ad at that second linked post. My terms of service agreement with AdSense suggests I refrain from direct comment on the subject. That contractual restraint is one I have entered into as a free man; let us oppose any who would restrict the right to enter into such an agreement be it the evil frauds in Beijing pretending to be the government of China, the evil frauds claiming to defend human rights in Canada even as they strip Canadians of their human rights or the evil, fraudulent and lunatic cultists all the way from Clearwater to the Kaaba. Satan wears many faces.
Update: An excellent notion proposed at Small Dead Animals:
This is largely in part to the support of bloggers across North America who have helped get the word out. Check out Technorati for a partial list. Contributors include Americans as well as Canadians, university students and retirees, US and Canadian military, lawyers, and other bloggers, of course - you get the picture. Some have donated to us all.
Many have indicated they're redirecting their CPC donations to this effort, and have copied their MP's as to why.

I fear I have no particular expertise. However, hosting "offshore" is unlikely to protect a Canadian blogger from the Human Rights Chekists. After all they seem quite willing to write entrapping posts on US sites to nab Canadians engaged in assorted thought crimes.
The real solution is not to use clever legalisms to evade the Chekists; rather it is to put political pressure on the CPC to dismantle the thought policing function of the CHRC. Sadly, in Steve's dash to the center the very idea of taking a stand in favour of free speech is, apparently, anathema.
