Once upon a time

Tim Burton is reported to be in negotiations to make a biopic* about the life together of Marilyn Manson and Dita von Teese.** Though given their current taxidermy custody difficulties I cannot see negotiations proceeding quickly.
* Biopic is a word I avoid thanks to having been exposed to someone who pronounces the word to rhyme with "myopic". The word is pronounced bio-pic, viz a biographical picture. But every time I see the word now I wince.
** To feature in her own film debut in "The Boom Boom Room".

Wanda likes to pronounce it the "myopic" way too. =( Drives me up a wall.

What is wrong with Tim Burton? What can he possibly be thinking?
The Manson-Von Teese story is ABC Schlock of the Week fare, not worthy of motion picture treatment.
I look forward to the scene where Dita beats Marilyn mercilessly for hanging his outfits on wire hangers.

Wasn't she in a movie last year? About Bettie Page, if I recall correctly.

I have a hard time with the whole concept because Marilyn is doing his best "oh poor me, the oppressed wilting wallflower" routine and meanwhile he's off having simulated sex with his new Dita clone and it's broadcast worldwide.
Honestly, of the two combatants, which one seems like the actual jerk to you? The reclusive, reluctant-to-air-dirty-laundry Ms. Teese, or the guy sim-banging his new girlfriend on MTV?

I have nothing against Marilyn Manson but am certainly partial to Ms. Von Teese in this matter.

Her timing was impeccible - he received divorce papers on his damn birthday.
Britney's televised text message to KFed was obviously a bit more entertaining though.

Oh, that's just Marilyn being goth. Well, except the rest of us just act like our dramas are being broadcast worldwide.
