If a farmer fills his barn with grain, he gets mice. If he leaves it empty, he gets actors.

Nice one, Sir Walter Scott; but sometimes you get something else. I have dreams that run exactly like this (via Rantburg).

Imagine you live in Portugal and you’re moving into a lovely farm house on a large swath of land. The place has been empty for 15 years! While exploring your new property you find a large barn in the trees. The door is padlocked shut and its all rusted solid. so you grind the padlock open…

Now open the door.

When we bought our "country estate", Stately Sad Old Goth Manor, many, many years ago, one of the first things we did was demolish the big barn out back, as it used to move quite ominously when you leaned on it. Not too long after, our neighbor down the road came by for a cup of coffee and as he was leaving asked, "if you ever dig that area out, let me know what you find buried there..". I have never dug it out. Never will, after being asked that...
