By now most Flea-readers will know Bill Ardolino is off to Iraq to report from the front lines of the Long War; a worthy cause.

I have never met the man but I get the impression he is like that. You know, aloof. As if some great emotional trauma prevents him from, like, really getting to know people. Also, there is that llama thing.

I confess I had not noticed the straps due to some sort of optical illusion distracting me. Well spotted!

For some reason I'm reminded of a scene in Ed Wood, can't remember exactly how it went. Something like "It wasn't getting shot that worried me, I was more worried that when they gave me medical attention they'd discover what I was wearing underneath my uniform." Something like that.

It's the subsequent jihadi internet video that offers extra Ed Wood hilarity.
