Some time back I mentioned an Israeli F-15 that managed to land on one wing. The video link was broken almost as soon as I posted, however, so that was a bit disappointing. Well, here it is. Yes, much of this is a History Channel simulation but the photos at the end are quite authentic.

This was being discussed over on Tanknet. Apparently, Boeing sent a team out to examine the aircraft and determine HOW it could still fly. the IAF pilot was of course surprised when he saw the damage from somewhere other than the cockpit. You gotta love those fly by wire systems which actuate up to the entire set of control surfaces to obtain the desired attitude change.

My favourite part of the video - excepting the external shots of the aircraft itself - is the pilot describing his conversation with his friend wondering if he could transfer from F-16s... That had to be a big concession.
