Christian Bale as the Flea
Every great blog post consists of three acts. The first act is called "The Pledge"; the blogger shows you something ordinary, but of course... it probably isn't. The second act is called "The Turn"; the blogger makes his ordinary something do something extraordinary. Now if you're looking for the secret... you won't find it, that's why there's a third act called, "The Prestige"; this is the part with the twists and turns, where lives hang in the balance, and you see something shocking you've never seen before.

The 8-year-old in me says Batman had better kick Wolverine's ass.
Given the rhetorical conventions of the genre, I am sad to say it is all too likely Wolverine will kick Batman's ass. Which in the real world would be impossible because Wolverine is Marvel and Batman is DC. Even the coolest DC character is no match for a cool Marvel character.
True, although Batman is a little more egalitarian. Any schmoe could potentially make enough money to buy training and toys to fight crime by night. Whereas only the genetically gifted get elevated to membership in the X-Men.
Off-topic, have you seen Bottom's Up starring Jason Mewes and Paris Hilton? Thoughts, remarks, tomatoes?
It's on TMN On Demand now and I am tempted to check it out. I am fairly certain it is going to be about nine shades of awful, but I'd like it to fly just so that Mewes ekes out some kind of post-Jay career.
I have not seen it and am now taking steps to procure a copy!
Actually I goofed, it hits Rogers On Demand on October 27th, a week from today. I guess I got over-excited seeing the title in their little promotional notices last night.

Batman...sigh. I loved Val Kilmer as Batman, and Michael Keaton of course, but Clooney ruined the enterprise. So can the part of Flea be played by Neil Forrester, at least in my imagination?

I am not saying Mr. Bale bears even a passing resemblance to me, only that the trailer suggests a Flea-ish sartorial sense. And profession.
The trailer is gorgeous -- saw it for the first time last night. Of course, as already discussed above, the subtext (for me) boils down to Batman vs. Wolverine.
The Beckhams blogging...not expecting to many words are we? And, of course, does anyone believe those two will actually write it?
