I never quite heard about the backstory for Storm Large but I'm assuming her parents are first-rank comic book geeks as her given name + middle name = Susan Storm.

I am also guessing Storm herself is not a giant comic book geek, as what fan could resist calling themselves "Susan Storm" if handed such a moniker by fate and her parents?
If your parents had given you a name like "Bruce Wayne [Flea-surname]" tell me there wouldn't be enormous temptation to drop the family surname and be known as simply Bruce Wayne?
