At the scene of a crime

SpidermanOnSet.jpg

The Spiderman 3 trailer is now online. Yes, yes, it all looks very impressive and yet I contrive to be underwhelmed. It is not just that I think Bryce Dallas Howard is horrendously miscast as Gwen Stacy. There is something missing in superhero movies* and I am not certain what it is. I shudder to think of the forthcoming hack job Hollywood is certain to make of Alan Moore's Watchmen; arguably the greatest "thinking" comic series ever.

*With the exception of "Heroic Trio" which was fab.

Oh please, please, please don't ever let Hollywood make a movie about "100 Bullets" - they'd probably cast Halle Berry, Colin Ferrell, and several other nauseating movie stars within its roles.

"100 Bullets" confuses me... not that there is anything wrong with that. By contrast, 100% was pure genius. It could also make a beautiful film now that I think about it...

Confuses you? Whatever for, I'm wondering...

I have my predictions for the ending of the series, but I could totally be wrong. After all, at the end of "Strychnine Lives," Megan Dietrich's fate completely surprised me.

Alright, sounding like a complete comic geek here, so I'll just end this commment.

I just learned they are doing Ghost Rider with Nicholas Cage. I saw a preview and it looks interesting.

Just saw Superman... I am going to have to revise my thoughts about superhero movies; this one was a masterpiece.
