Beckham and the Land are One

There has been the usual pissing and moaning from the Scots as some choose to support Trinidad & Tobago this afternoon. Or rather, as they continue to support anyone against England. In so doing they are inauthentic supporters but 100% authentic twats. At least their freshly purchased T&T strip will make them easy to identify.
Wardytron offers a compelling diagnosis over at Harry's Place.
Side against England and you side against Beckham, d'ya hear me? That's Mr. Posh Spice! Engerland! Engerland!

The Times link calls it anti-English "racism."
Since when are the Scots and the English different races?

I think anti-English "twattishness" would have been a better term. Though I expect it would be more likely to appear in the Economist than the Times.

Since when is not supporting a team of another nation a problem? Sad gloatism for a team that is lucky to have won two creeky games against pip-squeeks. Far better I say to back the over achieving than the sort of unwarrantedly self-congratulatory stuff ("stuff", I say) which saw, masterminded then placed Beckham to full back for the second half in a master stoke of positivist play. Such wizardry will have to stand a mightier test when Engerland rises to meet some "B" teams.

Thank you for your twatworthy analysis.

Well England did play shite for like um...85 mins. As many intelligent England fans will tell you. One of the problems with England is they are all show-boating. I rather doubt England could get out of the group the US is stuck in.
PS: The fact the Scots are cheering against England is just a bit pathetic.

Actually, I think T&T played exceptionally well - and with sound tactics - right the way through. But then it was the only strategy they have against teams like Sweden or England and its limit was shown at the precise moment they had to go on offense.
As I think any intelligent England fan who knows how football is played will tell you.
And yes, "pathetic" is a sound word though I am leaning toward "twattish" as a better one.

I think you are letting colonialism get in the way here, laddies. I have spent 0.0037% of my life thinking about how I hate the Yankees, Man U and the Montreal Canadians. I like various members of each team and respect their periods of strength. But I still hate them. I say thinks to pals dressed in their garbs like "your team sucks" or "you suck". This is called normal. Yet when a good Scot says "England sucks" it is some national defect. This can only be due to that unhip English thing that gets in the way of dancing prowess and decent mens shirt collar design. And the lack of decent manly unbifurcated garments.
As for TnT, if they beat Paraguay by two and England shuts out the Swedes they will be through and my name yet may be "Desmond McDesond of the Southern Isles."

I could not have put it better myself.
