I think this one is Sloth

Presumably due to the suckage that was the teaser trailer, Michael Mann has another go at selling an anxious world on his forthcoming Miami Vice film. The new trailer is better but is still less convincing than Vice City.

Considering that both Heat and Collateral played like overly long episodes of Miami Vice, it's safe to say that whatever urban crime drama Michael Mann ends up touching will inevitably end up smelling like President's Choice Memories of Crockett & Tubbs.

The only downside is that he appears to have completely abandoned the old-school Jan Hammer theme.

Jan Hammer is definitely missing. Well, that and jai alai. And flamingos. Basically, I just want to watch the original series again.

I hear you, brother. Though the old series' reliance on all Glenn Frey tracks ever recorded was a bit troubling -- not being a fan of the gent myself.

His absence will be at least one high note in the current version.

I dunno, I was just thinking that I need to download that Linkin Park/Jay Z remix of Numb.

It could be good...I won't go see it in the theatre but I might be tempted to watch it on DVD.
