Deliciously puzzling

About.com ponders the top ten puzzling artifacts of ancient history. And the answer to the following question is "no", btw. At least not in the sense they are implying.

The Bible tells us that God created Adam and Eve just a few thousand years ago, by some fundamentalist interpretations. Science informs us that this is mere fiction and that man is a few million years old, and that civilization just tens of thousands of years old. Could it be, however, that conventional science is just as mistaken as the Bible stories?

Boy, that article was rather devoid of calories. Scientific rice cakes. Heck, it was lightweight for even PSEUDO-science. Not one mention of Nazca? Instead #9 and #10 are "various unexplained thingies".

Still, I spent two hours looking up the various items online. Lots of interesting stuff. Takes me back to when von Daniken had tongues wagging.

Ancient Astronaut drinking game suggestion: take a shot of your favorite gin every time von Daniken's name pops up when researching these ten, er, seven items. You'll be feeling no pain at the conclusion.
