A wonder to behold
With her great strength, power of flight, bullet-deflecting bracelets, and star-studded style like no other, she’s Wonder Woman--known to her friends as Diana. The unconventional Dr. William Moulton Marston originally created her as "psychological propaganda for the new type of woman who should rule the world," and Wonder Woman has done just that, whether battling evil fascists or ensnaring villains with her magic lasso.
Flea-readers everywhere can agree it is about time DC Comics organized a Woman Woman major motion picture. Since those halcyon days of Linda Carter's tenure on the small screen the bedroom walls of young men (and more than a few young women) have not been graced with anything quite so triumphant as the Amazonian image pictured above.
This simply will not do. Fortunately, Joss Whedon is on the job... but who can fill Linda Carter's Wonder-boots? The Flea calls on readers everywhere to suggest the best person for the job of taking on the mantle (and bullet-proof bracelets and, critically, magical lasso) of Paradise Island's finest. Eliza Dushku? Katie Holmes? Jessica Alba? All seem like sensible suggestions but I am certain to be missing other major talents.
So, a casting call. Please send your suggestion in the form of a single, work-safe image of the next Amazon (my email is linked below the "Contact" section in the sidebar). I am certain many will take up, say, my Eliza Dushku suggestion so remember that the image itself needs to suggest an Amazonian quality. Multiple submissions of the same image will be credited to the first one to arrive. A bit swamped at the moment so only the winning submission is certain to receive a reply (apologies in advance). Please submit your image and, if possible, a brief rationale by noon Tuesday next. All images will be submitted for blind peer review to a full session of the secretive Council of the Flea, a winner determined to be announced next Friday! (!!!)
Update: I have belatedly realized I should probably mention this casting inititative is based on a weekly contest held at a Canadian company which shall, for obvious reasons, remain nameless. But a hat tip is due nonetheless...

There's always a lawyer... well, if the images are coming from separate email accounts I might not be able to discern multiple entries from a single person. On the other hand, it is possible multiple people could share the same email address (if unlikely). While the spirit of the contest suggests one entrant/one image with the beneficial self-mortification of restricting oneself to one choice, "hotness" may play a role in the Council deciding to make the rules flexible in individual cases.
