Trackback spam

So... comments and trackbacks are now working at the Flea so comment and ping away! (Thanks, TacJammer!) Of course, every blessing conceals its own lesson as I have received ten spam trackback pings this morning. Does anybody have suggestions on deflecting this stuff?

It is a shame you're running MT and not WordPress. There are two incredible solutions, one is Spam Karma, which handles the comment and trackback spams, and Ref Karma, which even blocks referer spam. My results have been spectacular...

MT-Moderate is said to be good for trackback spam now. MT-Blacklist will give you more sophisticated (or less draconian) control. I use the latter, but the former comes recommended by folks I trust.
