Don't bring a knife to a car fight
Yep. Canada. So much less prone to violence than our southern neighbours. Take policing in Toronto, for example. When our local constabulary is not busy forcibly coralling suspects I see they are also making good use of "the internet" with daily major crime news reports (that second one via Bob Tarantino).

That reminds me of the time I saw a dozen York Region Police and Toronto Police cruisers take down some fleeing teenage car thieves, just south of Yonge and Sheppard.
The cops chased the car down Yonge Street at about 120 kph, then rammed on the right side a few times, forcing it up over the curb into a mall parking lot. Two or three cruisers then boxed it in at high speed and pretty well demolished the front end of the car, rendering it incapable of further escape.
Fortunately I was too drunk at the time to realize how close I came to being a casualty of the high-speed chase. If I'd left the bar about 1 minute earlier I would have been right at the point where the perps hopped the curb and were forced off the road.
