Debbie Gibson naked
Bill at INDC Journal is outraged by naked Googlebating at Wizbang. Sensitive Flea-readers may wish to avert their eyes lest the sight of Debbie Gibson in lingerie present the fulfillment of too many angst-ridden teen moments. And perish the thought of "Kylie Minogue naked".
Google-baiting is naked manipulation that artificially inflates traffic and strips the good names of women like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Alba, Shakira, Charisma Carpenter, Jennifer Garner, Heidi Klum, Catherine Bell, Salma Hayek, Eliza Dukshu, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce Knowles and Angela Lansbury. And sometimes, they even post scandalous free videos or free pictures!
And then... To link or not to link? That is the question. (Oh go ahead.) I think the image at Wizbang is worksafe. Some of these images from the Debbie Gibson Playboy spread are not.

Well, that's wonderful. Sixteen years ago when I was a covert DG fanboy, this would have been the highlight of the week. Now I can't even bring myself to recon the newsgroups for the evidence.
Note to prospective starlets: Start your career decline into tawdry porn relatively early -- like Paris Hilton. Don't make us wait so long that we forget you ever existed. Getting into it ten or fifteen years later just smells like a desperate publicity stunt.

I feel I should defend the honour of Paris Hilton... those tapes I have heard so much about were released by her ex. The cad!

Actually I didn't mean to slag Ms. Hilton... I think, if one is going to have a Dana Plato-style slow and agonizing "career death spiral into porn" then it's better to get it out of the way at the start. Especially if you haven't done anything really notable beforehand. That way everything that follows, even if it's only at the level of "The Simple Life", is a definite improvement. Although her ex probably intended it to harm, it's certainly worked out well in the end for Paris.
