That's because Audrey Hepburn types appeal to the more sophisticated man.

although I strongly disagree with Sandra Bullock as a Hepburn type. Kate, perhaps, but not Audrey.

Well I heartily endorse the Natalie Portman/Audrey Hepburn comparison. But I'd also put forth that Parker Posey shares a similar delicate quality.

That list is also missing Jennifer Love Hewitt... (now ducking for cover).

No, I certainly agree about Hewitt, though not at the top of the order. Mostly, because she didn't share Audrey or Natalie's aura of sophisticated confidence.

All those wannabe FHM and Maxim shoots. Blech.

I'm thinking that, besides doe-like eyes, part of the central appeal of Audrey Hepburn was a certain winsome-ness and innocence. (I don't know about confidence, there's a certain vulnerability there that's mighty attractive.) Natalie is closest, Tatou 2nd. Maggie Gyllenhaal if her eyes were more "doe-like". Hewitt isn't too far. And I checked Hewitt out very closely for similarities. (Dear God!)

I am trying to find a good screenacap of her too.. I want that hairdo.. no matter what King says, it ROCKS!
