Disease Cards

I cannot fathom how anyone at the CDC thought these cards were a good idea.

This card set has photos and information about some of the infectious diseases that CDC studies. You can view the set online OR download and print your own copy.

Great as a training aid for public health workers, doctors, medical responders, etc. You should have seen the more cryptic but still graphic slides my step father had that I looked through as a child. As an infectious diseases MD at one of the more major facilities here in Atlanta (and as a teaching physician) he had some choice slides. Relatively gross lesions that helped me decide not to be a physician.

The training angle does make sense of them. It was the dead zebra that I found off-putting...

And so "Clap for the Wolfman" turns out to be prophecy?

Just consider these cards' value to would-be hypocondriacs!! Priceless.

Also, they could serve as a public health indicator of how fast one should run when encountering any of the visible signs whilst walking down the boulevard.
