"Fidelis Ad Mortem"

The Winston Review is a Flea-feature intended to offer spirited, uplifting alternatives to the defeatists and apologists of the mainstream media. This week's Review offers a prayer for the safety and peace of mind of the men and women of the NYPD. This will in all likelihood be a challenging week as their charge to protect the people of New York is made all the more difficult by moonbats foreign and domestic.

This week in the Red Box:

"The RAF's Guinea Pig heroes near final scramble", The Guardian tells the story of men whose sacrifice continued long after their injury in war (via Absinthe & Cookies).

"Darfur exposes trait of Arab politics", Salim Mansur discusses the racism nobody wants to talk about.

"Paris Liberates Itself", ˇNo Pasarán! comments on a fantasy world where the "forerunners to today's anti-globalization protestors", rather than Allied blood and steel, liberated Paris from the Nazis. More in the same vein from E-nough!

"There is a difference between smearing and mentioning painful truths", Peter explains the feelings of many Vietnam veterans to Senator Kerry (courtesy of Knowledge is Power and via Dean's World).

"2004, A Canadian Satire", Political Staples offers a glimpse of the daily Two Minutes Hate meeting at the Toronto Star. I imagine the rite is studiously observed across the lamestream media (via Kate McMillan).

"The War Room", Steve Silberman reports on new training methods made possible by "the military-entertainment complex."

"The Enemy of My Enemy is My Enemy", Marcus Tacitus of Between Hope and Fear argues "the immediacy of the Islamofascist war should not blind us to other emerging threats" (via Winds of Change).

"Just Which Allies Are Due An Apology, Senator?", VodkaPundit presents a riposte to Senator Kerry's "reckless public disdain for America’s genuine allies" (via Autonomous Source).

Your courage. Your cheerfulness. Your resolution.
Will bring us Victory.
