Anthony Ainley

I have sad belated news about Anthony Ainley, best known in his role as the fourth incarnation of The Master from Dr. Who. Mr. Ainley died on May 3, 2004.

I expect some colleague at his former cricket club to soon sprout a luxuriant black van Dyke beard, to start dressing in black jumpsuits, and to be seen in the proximity of a Greek Ionic column. Oh, and for other cricketers to start disappearing, and being replaced by miniature doll-like replicas of themselves. Wait, those aren't replicas...

I knew Anthony as a child, he lived at the bottom of my road in Kingsbury. I was very upset to hear that he passed away recently. Just wanted to say that i have many fond memories of Anthony, always giving us signed pictures of himself and other Dr WHo characters.
RIP Anthony.
