Who theme

The famed Dr. Who theme is to be reworked by Slipknot for the latest incarnation of the show.

As soon as the Beeb said they were making a new series Slipknot started work on an updated version of the well-known theme. Drummer Joey Jordison told me: �I�m so excited Doctor Who�s coming back. It�s a great show, wild and exciting. �I watched it as a kid and it freaked me out. I�m 29 now and it was only a couple of years ago that I figured out what was going on."

And then... I like the Orbital version.

Well with their guitar work, it can hardly be a letdown. I'm looking forward to it, even though I'm not a Who fan.

Slipknot are has-beens...their latest album is getting slatted by reviewers and the band are expecting its sales to be less than special.

Not excusing their latest, but surely you'll admit every band has at least one lousy album lurking in the discography... =)

I hold out hope that they will do the "Who" tune justice. It would be hard to screw that up -- unless they recorded it as New Age tropical rainforest relaxation music.

I'm partial to the Doctor Who 5 (Peter Davison) theme -- it's the one I remember from childhood.
