Indeed! You have no idea how nice it is to be able to walk out my front door and see B-52s taking off. I really missed runways when I was with the Army.

I used to work at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) in St. Louis. Most of their buildings were at or around the airport, so I got to see planes taking off and landing on a daily basis.
Occasionally I'd see an AV-8B doing a hover test way off in a remote corner of the airport, and every now and then I'd see an F-15 doing a Viking takeoff. Very cool.
