Royal Navy
This is so horrifying I am going to post the same quote as Andrew Ian Dodge.
It will now have only 28 escort ships compared to the French navy's 32 and will no longer be able to mount major operations unless it is fighting alongside either the Americans or the French.

Dear God.
What has happened to the British?
"I thought British policy was, 'Make the world England,' sir."

I never thought I'd see the day when politicians in Whitehall would think nothing of subordinating the supremacy of the Royal Navy to the French.
If the Royal Navy has to count on the French in order to have a fighting chance, then they might as well scuttle all their ships in Portsmouth Royal Dockyard right now, and at least save them as museum pieces. When was the last time the French navy fought a major fleet action and won? The Battle of the Capes? What a disgrace.

Disgraceful. The British might as well ship Nelson's Column to Annapolis, Maryland and put the Royal Navy out of its misery.
See what happens when you lower your beef intake? "O! The roast beef of Old England!"

Well, here's to hoping that the British thank Tony Blair extensively for this when the next elections are called...
If I didn't feel so sick, I'd do a much better job of being outraged.
