No sooner had the Flea's thought turned toward other Inkling efforts than it transpires a five-part film rendition of C.S. Lewis' Narnia chronicles is in the works. The films are to start with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, actually number two of the seven-part books series, courtesy of Peter Jackson's Weta Workshop and New Zealand's landscape.

Number two in the series, but first to be written. For many, many, years, "The Magician's Nephew" (first in the chronology) was packaged as #7 or so in the series. It was not until recent editions that "Nephew" moved to it's rightful place in the packages.

Given what I've read recently about how Tolkien felt about Lewis' "Narnia" stories, I think it's interesting that the guy that brought us an excellent JRRT is going to bring us (hopefully) an excellent CSL!
