Jon & Vangelis: The Friends of Mr. Cairo

Now is the time at the Flea when we dance.

Ah, lovely. Stuff like this was why we were watching videos.

I think a lot of those early efforts remain unsurpassed; though I suppose this is what an old fogie is meant to think. I have been listening to Vangelis a lot lately as I budget for a Yamaha CS-80 emulator. I figure I could get an album's worth out of creepy Cosmos and Blade Runner soundtrack covers...

The opening of this song always makes me think of an hypothetical conversation between Jackie and LBJ in Dallas... but then that's me.

The music of Cosmos rocked. At least in my childhood memories.

Bet if I watched the DVDs now it would be cringe-worthy. Especially Sagan's goofy haircut and enormous turtlenecks.
